Clean slate
The weather has been in our favour these last few weeks as clearing of the site has finished. The work in front of us looks daunting, but as the plans come together so is our enthusiasm. A large part of the land will be planted with native trees - mainly broadleaves - for biodiversity and the nursery will be established in the far right corner. Paths will have to be laid, ground cleared further to house the seed beds, ditches to be filled and trees to be ordered for planting this winter. Sadly, we won’t have the amount of our own trees growing to fill this space, but what we do have will go in in the next couple of weeks as they are running out of space in their pots.
