🌳 1000 native Irish trees planted 🌳

What an amazing couple of weeks we have had. So many local people came out to give us a hand. Friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues and new friends. It took 3 weekends, but we managed to get 1000 trees in. As we have hares and deer on site we opted for protecting every single tree, but the result is well worth it. Not only are they protected, but the feeling of having started a native woodland is definitely there as the tree guards stand like soldiers across the fields. We planted sessile Oaks, Rowan, Common Birch, Scot’s Pine, Hazel, Crab Apple and Alder. The next big change will be the paths that go in this coming week, fingers crossed the weather will cooperate.
